Starting operations in 1999, mediaReach OMD has grown to become the biggest media agency in West Africa today. We have given direction to the practice of media planning and buying in Nigeria and indeed the West African sub-region.
In the first year of operation, mediaReach OMD revolutionized the media practice in Nigeria by initiating standards to ensure unprecedented high media compliance by media owners and prompt payments for placements implemented.
And within eighteen months of operation, we led the industry in positive directions by championing the launch of media planning data tools. Some of the work tools we launched and are still in use today include Marketing Star and Media Star for effective and efficient media planning.
In 2003, Media Express followed by Media 2010 were also launched as campaign scheduling and media purchase order management software.
Since 2001, mediaReach OMD has also undertaken the publication of the West & Central African Media Facts Book – an industry accepted data collection book about the West & Central African media advertising scene.
With strong media practice credentials in Nigeria and indeed West and Central Africa, we are still determined to challenge the dynamics of the marketplace. Our desire to leverage international work tools, talents and ideas led us to affiliate with OMD, the global media advertising company of Omnicom in 2003 (Omnicom is the world's largest marketing communications network, present in over 80 countries). The affiliation places at our disposal the global capabilities of OMD to the benefit of our clients and their brands.
